Micato ("the App”) provides automated synchronization of Shopify store data to Mautic, fueling automated marketing campaigns and sales growth ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

2. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

Customer Data: We access details about your customers, including their names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, and order histories (products purchased, quantities, prices, dates, and order status). We also access any custom fields you have configured for your customers.
Order Data: This includes detailed order information, such as product names, SKUs, quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, shipping costs, and order status.
Shopify Store Information: We access your Shopify store's domain name, and store plan information.
Access Token: We collect your Shopify API credentials (access token) to enable data synchronization between your store and the App.

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:

Mautic Information: Your Mautic instance URL.
Information about you: We collect your name and email address.

We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, and through your Shopify account.

3. How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:

Communicate with you;
Optimize or improve the App;
Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
Provide the Micato Service: To synchronize data between your Shopify store and your Mautic account, as described in the app's functionality. This includes mapping customer and order data to corresponding fields in Mautic.
Improve the Micato Service: To analyze usage patterns, identify and fix bugs, develop new features, and improve the overall performance and user experience of the app.
Provide Support: To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and provide assistance with using the Micato app.

4. Sharing Your Personal Information

With Mautic: We share your customer and order data with your Mautic account to enable the core functionality of the Micato app. Please refer to Mautic's own privacy policy for information on how they handle your data.
With Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Micato app, such as hosting providers, data analytics providers, and email service providers. These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and only use it for the purposes we specify.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your Micato app is installed and as needed to provide you with the Micato service. When you uninstall the app, we will delete all data from our servers within 30 days. We may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
